What to expect

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

06:45 Tour guide pick up you at Da Nang city center to depart to Da Nang Train Station and start the journey exploring Hue city, about 100 kms to the North from Da Nang city. At Train Station, tour guide will get the ticket for you and tell you some information. The train will depart at around 07:50 from Da Nang station.

Around 3 hours by train from Da Nang to Hue, you will explore the different scenery along the railway such as the countryside, Hai Van Pass, rice paddle field, ocean view and mountain settings. The first spectacular natural scene is Hai Van mountain pass which is one of the world’s top ten most beautiful coastal roads in Viet Nam. The train travels through thick jungle as it winds its way around the coast with glimpses of secret beaches through the forest. When the train has climbed high enough there are great views of the Modern Da Nang skyline across the Bay of Danang. The train comes back down to sea level at Lang Co, which is a fishing port town with a breathtaking beauty of basin and water surface that may capture every visitor’s heart at first sight. 

11:05 After the exciting journey on the train, the driver will pick you up and tour guide at Hue Train Station, then transfer to the local restaurant and enjoy the local specialties for lunch.

After lunch, head to the city’s prime attraction, the Citadel and travel into the past to learn more about the last dynasty of VietNam via the stories of our friendly tour guide. Wander through this vast complex containing the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City, and the Emperor’s private residence, and learn more about Vietnam’s last dynasty, the Nguyen dynasty. You will also discover other architectural masterpieces such as temples, pavilions, gardens, and the gates to the Imperial City.

Then, depart to Thien Mu Pagoda, an active Buddhist monastery, and admire its iconic 7-story pagoda, the unofficial symbol of the city. Located on the bank of the poetic Perfume River together with its typical traditional architecture of Hue pagodas, Thien Mu Pagoda has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Hue City.

From the pagoda, head to the serene Khai Dinh Royal Tomb, the final resting place of a Nguyen Emperor. Admire the tomb’s unique architectural design and learn more about the many myths and legends that surround this controversial emperor before heading back to Da Nang.

End of tour, come back to your hotel at Da Nang city. Around 18:00 you will arrive in Da nang city.
